After more than three years, the field recording project of dj.noizcut and fellow friends Frantisek Markus (mic handling) and Kamil Prihoda (photoshooting) is finally done. Originally intended as a short documentary on making beats from total sound scraps, this one turned into a regular noizcut album.
Various noises recorded during rough winters 2013 & 2014 in Brno (CZ) were cut and processed by the beginning of 2015, turning the sounds of the city and its inhabitants into weird experimental collage.
This was more of a curiosity - not a single sample than those recorded were used. This kind of content randomness is supported by the cassette version, where each single shell is handpainted uniquely. Probably nothing new in the area of musique concrète, but still a nice acoustic trip into a hometown of dj.noizcut and many other label folks.
